The Les Twentyman Foundation is thrilled to share an incredible experience our young people had during the recent school holidays, made possible by the generosity and dedication of the Western Bulldogs Community Foundation and Grill’d Yarraville.
Our young people were treated to a truly memorable day, one that brought together sport, community, and education in the best possible way. Thanks to the Western Bulldogs Community Foundation, our young people had the rare and exciting opportunity to meet some of their Bulldogs idols face to face — an experience that left many of them absolutely buzzing with excitement. Getting to meet the players they look up to and admire was something our young people will be talking about for a long time to come.
But the day was about much more than just meeting football stars. Our young people also got out on the grass and had a kick of the footy, embracing the spirit of the game and enjoying some friendly competition along the way. It was wonderful to see them so energised, engaged, making friends and having the kind of fun that school holidays are all about.
One of the highlights of the day was an interactive workshop on nutrition and healthy eating habits. Our young people learned how the foods they eat directly fuel their bodies and their minds, and were given practical, easy-to-follow guidance on how to make healthier food choices in their day-to-day lives.
These are lessons that go far beyond the classroom — equipping our young people with the knowledge and confidence to take better care of themselves as they grow.
To top it all off, Grill’d Yarraville generously provided lunch for everyone on the day, ensuring our young people were well fed, energised, and ready to make the most of every moment.
At the Les Twentyman Foundation, we are passionate about creating positive opportunities for the young people in our community — opportunities that inspire, educate, and empower. Days like this remind us of just how much can be achieved when community organisations come together with a shared purpose and a genuine commitment to making a difference in young people’s lives.
We are incredibly grateful to the Western Bulldogs Community Foundation and Grill’d Yarraville for their ongoing support, their generosity, and their belief in our young people. Thank you for helping make these school holidays so special and so meaningful. We look forward to continuing to work together to create more moments just like this one.
